Hey! My name is Stan, I am a Dutch software engineer with interests in a wide range of scientific/engineering things including but not limited to programming (mostly C++), linux server management (currently ubuntu), docker, self-hosting, micro-controllers, micro-processors, digital electronics and gaming.

I have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, although in retrospect Embedded Systems would probably have been a better fit. As I have little love for analog electronics.

〉 Curios/deficiencies

I sit in the shower (and take upwards of an hour)

I have my christmas tree up year-round (for it gives me joy + the lights are pretty)

I usually only drink 1 cup of coffee per day, but it tends to be around 10PM

I am dyslexic

I am colour blind

I was born in Limburg

I tend to prefer GNU make over CMake

Strongly typed programming languages are better than weakly typed ones
